Sad, but true.

“It is with great regret that we announce that the band’s North American tour has been cancelled.

This is with immediate effect and results from the current economic climate with extra costs across the board making our proposed schedule non-viable.

The band has not taken this decision lightly and everything has been done to try to avoid this course of action. We very much hope to reschedule this tour for next year – any new dates will be announced first here.

No ETA on release date, but if you are a fan of The Jam, you might be interested in a new live DVD coming soon. Check out this clip:

Straight from the press kit – “Rock legends From The Jam are putting the final touches on their soon-to-be-released live DVD.  The two-disc set will feature their blow-out performance at London’s Kentish Town Forum as well as in-depth interviews with each of the band members.  The release date is TBD, but in the meantime here is a fun sneak preview of the band performing their hit song “Down In The Tube Station At Midnight:”
