Interesting story that I would have thought was an Onion article. Racism, poor journalism, or niche publishing?

I would have thought this was an Onion article.

Embedded video from CNN Video

What is interesting though, is that I actually kind of agree with the publisher here. Why is every one so concerned when they had better coverage from other sources? Maybe this small paper just knows it’s niche?

I think these photos are some the coolest I have seen in a while, and is another great example of why I think Obama’s presidency is going to be great, I love that we are able to live this with them. Plus, how cool is is that the new administration even knows what Flickr is?!

I took some time to watch Barack Obama's video that aired on national TV tonight, and thought I would share some quick thoughts I have been having on political campaigns and their use of the internet.

I took some time watch this video, and thought it worth sharing. Obviously, a campaign produced piece about a political candidate is going to make the candidate look great, but I have to say I really like the message and approach, and I think it also speaks well to Obama’s campaign’s use of the internet to reach people.

It has been interesting to me that McCain’s campaign has all but ignored the internet, and completely failed to reach me where I am. The only time I have been exposed to any of McCain’s materials has been in the context of someone trying to expose something, in jest, or in a humorous Google Adwords mistake (Many of my friend Matt’s blog posts blasting McCain drew McCain ads).

I hope that we continue to see an increased utilization of things like the Obama 08 iPhone App, Video Podcasts, and YouTube channels with content other than commercials in the years to come, regardless of next Tuesday’s outcome.

Not really, but they do have a really unimpressive story up about it. They also have one up about Dick Cheney's sunglasses. It's like watching a car wreck. Enjoy.

Seriously, why is CNN the bastion of crap video? I guess if I had to fill up programming 24/7/365, I’d probably run some stupid stuff too, but wow.

Here is some great insight into Rick-rolling, which, I wasn’t aware of until a month or so ago, and I found out more true information about that in five minutes of web surfing than this reporter did in what I can imagine were days of interviewing the co-producer of Rick Astley’s hit. It is worth a watch to see him dancing alone.

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/showbiz/2008/04/11/west.uk.rick.rolling.itn

And of course, the Cheney sunglasses. Listen to the way these people talk. It makes me want to collapse into a coma. Why are they even reporting on it? Oh, they are reporting on it because “the blogs” are writing about it.

“…has been checking the blooooogs this morning.. whaddyagot? … Well, if you goooooogle dick cheney sunglasses, you’ll get like 100,000 hits….”

Come on, this isn’t even news, it’s stupid.

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbeat/2008/04/11/delacruz.vp.cheney.glasses.cnn

The best part is, I am perpetuating it by blogging about it.
